Bitte unbedingt beachten: Sendebetrieb in den Amateurfunkbändern ist NUR Funkamateuren mit entsprechender Genhmigung gestattet! Das ist KEIN CB-Gerät, geschweige denn ein Spielzeug!Natürlich gibt es qualitativ (und damit auch preislich) deutlich bessere Geräte namhafter Marken, für gelegentlichen Gebrauch und/oder experimentelle Zwecke sind diese Geräte aber m.M. nach trotzdem unschlagbar.Gerät wurde mit aktuellster Firmware ausgeliefert, dies bedingt aber auch, daß die Produktbeschreibung im Angebot in Teilen von der tatsächlichen Funktionalität abweicht. Bspw. sind manche Tasten mit anderen Funktionen als beschriftet belegt - Beispiel: Taste "5" ruft angeblich die NOAA-Kanäle auf (in EU eh uninteressant), bei der neuen Firmware wird der Scanner gestartet (sehr hilfreich, da man mit einem Blick die Aktivität in einem Frequenzbereich sieht). Damit treffen aber auch die im Netz kursierenden Bedienungsanleitungen nur noch teilweise zu - bitte also nicht wundern. Ohne bisher komplett gemessen zu haben: RX Empfindlichkeit erscheint für Afu und benachbarte Frequenzen OK, auf die Anzeige des S-Meters (nicht nur in S_Stufen, auch in dBm!) würde ich aber nicht zuviel vertrauen. Oberwellen-Aussendungen (gemessen am Dummy-Load) entsprechen NICHT den gesetzlichen Vorgaben, bei Verwendung der mitgelieferten Gummi-Antenne aber noch gerade so den Vorgaben (bedingt durch die Selektivität der Antenne)! Also Vorsicht beim Anschluß einer externen Antenne - ohne zusätzliche Filter (gibt es bei Amazon oder bei anderen Anbietern) kann man schnell 'daneben' liegen. Wer mit den genannten Einschränkungen leben kann - meine volle Empfehlung!

I got the UVK5/99 MODEL and it makes me wonder how can they do such a good job of something for £35 which includes the programming cable @ amazonAs a scanner without installing other firmware it covers most frequencies that matter and if you install Egzumer 2.0 it covers everything from 18mghz-1.2Ghz including CB channels + pmr channelsAs a transceiver it works as it should on the ham channels it's meant to, but causes problems for others on the channels that it's not meant to transmit.So don't be tempted to flick the ptt button on these channels as you could get into trouble with the men in black lol.I bought mine to use as a receive only scanner and turned the transmit (tx) function off in case of accidental usageIt's also a nice radio, easy to program after doing your homework on YouTube where even the serious guys who are also impressed with it have done a lot of work exploring how to use the radio, just as well as the manual is a bit sketchyDo your homework first before buying any radio on what's to hear in your area and what antennas you'll need for home and mobile use to avoid disappointment if there's nothing to hear that you're interested in or not being able to get a good in/out signal, and after all the money you've saved on the radio you'll hopefully be able to get the best antennas for your needs which is the most important part of your setupBest of all, for £35 battery lasts 4 days+ on receive, easy to hold and operate for most users, usb charging cable and charging cradle, programming cable, antenna quality belt clip and it all works

Otro equipo chino del montón funciona bastante bien pero en algunas bandas hace aguas y para colmo todos con el audio de pena tengo dos modelos distintos y prácticamente rinde igual en calidad y audio y ojo éste equipo en España no se puede utilizar sin licencia en resumen una calidad baja
