I was able to swap this right into my printer and saw as good or better prints right away. It did seem like my nozzle temperature stayed more consistent and translated to consistent layers in my print.

I ordered this as an exact replacement upgrade for my Artilllery Sidewinder X2. Im somewhat disappointed with the Hotend Performance (3/5 Stars). This hotend seemed promising at first, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. Here's a breakdown of the issues I encountered:Short Lifespan: The thermistor failed after only 3 prints that took about 20 print hours, causing significant temperature overshoot and ruined the print filament.Inconsistent Temperature Readings: The faulty thermistor led to a discrepancy of at least 40 degrees between actual hotend temperature and the reported reading. I'm still not sure if it was working properly at all.Material Concerns: The soft material used in the hotend construction resulted in constant loosening, potentially affecting print quality. It's not completely this hot end being bad, but Artillery's design for the heat break. Between the hotend and heatbreak, there is no support! The bimetal heatbreak can easily bend when hot, so beware if tightening the hotend or if the hotend hits the bed for some reason.Positive Aspects:While not a dealbreaker for me, it's worth mentioning that the fitment wasn't compatible with my Artillery Sidewinder X2 as advertised. But after I changed some x and z offset positions, it can work. Its just very complicated to change all the settings and make sure the hotend and z offset are perfectly aligned with the bed. The additional hardened steel hotend is a bonus but overkill for this hotend, as it won't even need anything beyond brass for its heatblock temp capacity being low.Overall:While the price is cheap and looks promising, the short lifespan, temperature issues, and material concerns prevent me from giving this hotend a higher rating. It might be a better fit for lower-temperature printing, but for the Artillery Sidewinder X2 or X1, I'd recommend looking for a more robust option.Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
