These are not the sturdiest clamps ever.They are better than wash line clips, larger and offering a better grip.However, the tips tend to detach and one of the springs failed already.This said, for the advertised purpose they are quite good, and they have good grip.I also used them to hold a tarp in the garden, as a shade, and they worked well for that too, but I do not think they like rain too much (the spring is metal).

These lights were bought for my newborn baby photography session to light our scenes and they did do the job well in the end although the lights do need to be placed relatively close to the subject.The bulbs are not high powered LED lights so do not expect that with your purchase and rather they should be used in a different way to spread light evenly across the subject so if you are looking for a keylight then this is not it but if you use these lights in their intended way they are a fantastic buy for what they are especially at this price point.The build quality although not premium with metal clamps/adjustments and rather a plastic design is sturdy enough and does not move once set up.
