Super gorgeous kite. A bit tricky still on a very windy day but was easy to keep up, just not control once it's up there.

This kite is so well made. The usual thin wooden rods that hold the kite open have been replaced with black fiberglass rods. The kite itself is a synthetic material that won't tear. And the string is also synthetic so won't break or rot. The string is so strong there is a warning to hold the string holder and not the string as it might cut a hand. There is an instruction sheet outlining with diagrams how to attach the rods and place them in the kite. All the parts are kept in a fabric pouch so storage is easy and secure. A well made "toy."

This review is for the SGftre Manta Ray Kite. I very much like this kite. It is a basic delta kite with a small white space at the nose where the mouth of the manta ray is depicted. The tail is delightfully long and the whole kite looks great in the air. The kite is well made with fiberglass poles and rip-stop nylon. The string includes a swivel clip. There is a good quality storage bag. The leading edge poles are shock-corded and allow for compact storage. Overall I have been impressed with the creativity and quality of SGftre kites (in spite of the unpronouncable name). I think they are very good value.

This kite was pretty easy to assemble, feels like it's made of high quality materials, and looks great while flying. It does best in steady, lighter winds (around 5mph) and flies more erratically when it gets windier or gusty. The included kite line and winder is pretty substantial and I like that the line included a spinner at the end so it can be quickly attached to the kite and doesn't tangle as the kite loops in the air. The dragon looks great flying, too!Overall I really like this kite, especially for flying in lighter winds. It's going into my collection of kites and I look forward to flying it more!
