This spring scale is dead on weight. I used a 30lb dumbbell to test and found it to be perfect (30lbs). Honestly, I would have returned it if it was off. Hats off to whoever is on the quality control line and thank you Rapala.

The hook is made out of a weakened steel. It’s easily bends and will not remain cupped to where you can hang a fish on it. I’m going to try to get a large steel hook and hang it on and bend the Rapala hook and wrap it, so that it will hold the steel hook in place to hang Fish. I’m hoping this works.

I've used this product a few times and it appears to be well made and do the job very well that it was designed to do. Simple and effective.
