This is a single radio / CB / wallow unit - compatible with any other kind as long as you’re using the same channel of course.It’s super easy to set up and use, and recharge using USBC for the win - that’s crucial as I have no patience or desire to faff around with removable batteries.I tested out 2 way comms with another unit I already had and the sound is clear and sharp - it works perfectly. Messing around with different frequencies I was able to quickly pick up and listen in on official channels which is cool - something like this can keep kids entertained on a long car journey for sure.It’s built like a brick, compact with a good amount of heft to it but not heavy. This is a good unit and priced at a slight premium but you get what you pay for, it’s not like a cheap toy it’s a professional piece of kit.

This review is for the 'Quansheng UV5R Plus VHF UHF 5W Walkie Talkie Recharger Rechargeable Batteries Two Way Radio with Earpiece for Hiking Camping Travel', which I recieved free of charge via Amazon Vine for my reviewThis pack contains everything needed to get this single radio up and running, I was particularly pleased to see that the base charger unit runs off USB, which makes charging very simple.I;'ll admit that when it comes to walkie talkies, I honestly don't know what I'm doing, but I was able to borrow another unit (different make/age), and it was easy to use these for two way communication over the length of my street, and the voice was clear.The radio comes with a light manual, with very small text (difficult for me to read), and honestly probably expects more knowledge than I have, but I have been delving into videos online to learn how to pick up signals from air traffic.The build quality is first class, and so far I have only had to charge the battery once. While messing with it.Its a bit of a learning curve for me, but I hope to get some good use out of this in the 2025 airshow season, both to listen to traffic and to keep in touch with friends.Five stars because it feels very high quality, and can do way more than I understand.
