I bought these for a multiple reasons as I am an outdoor enthusiast and frequently climb and hike Mountains with people. I got these over the t90 which are way more rugged, proper waterproof and have the SOS button on. I got these ones as they are much smaller and lighter so easier to fit in a pocket and also have the carbineer clip included. The waterproofness is pretty decent, definitely don't go swimming with them but they do stand up to the shower. I had these out for Snowdon exposed to the rain and they did fine till the top where water got into the screen which is my fault as it does say it's not fully waterproof, but I dried them out and they still work. So try keep them out the rain as much as possible. The audio is very good, nice and loud and crisp microphone, easy to use menu. These radios do not have a light, SOS feature or NOAA weather report. They have 16 channels which you need to unlock, you can find vids on youtube on how to do this with any Motorola radio. I have not tested out the IVOX yet so cannot comment on that. The battery life seams to be very long but only used them a few times so will have to see in the future.

nich ganz billig die teile aber dafür top qualität - am strand bis 5km reichweite, das schaffen die meisten nicht - motorola qualität
