I was so looking forward to having central locking on my car, please note my car is a small Citroen C1. First problem was that some of the leads were too short and had to be extended, if you have a large car this will be even worse.After fitting the kit I found that two of the actuators are faulty and are locked and will not move, this stops the normal key locking system from working.This kit is nothing like factory fitted central locking. Very disappointed.

The drivers door lock failed on my 1996 Toyota so rather than having to change the keys, ignition etc I went for this instead. The van already had central locking so only actually needed 1 of the actuators (at least now i have spares) which after installing now works via a remote! The remote feels good quality too which is goes with the rest of the van. The longest part of the install was figuring out where to seat the actuator so that the door panel would go back on - however there are plenty of ways of adapting the setup to make it fit. Really glad i bought this and well chuffed at the price!

I am an auto electrician and this has to be the easiest kit to fit, the wiring has all the connectors pre fit and are colour coded so impossible to make a mistake with the installation, I have just fit this to a jeep and the wiring had to be extended but if fitting to a smaller car this would probably not be a problem, the quality is good for the price, I would definitely recommend

Really impressed. Everything you need to install to get it working. If you want it to flash the indicators you'll need to add a couple of diodes. I used IN4007 rectifier diodes which work well. Top tip is to give the battery a charge or take the car for a good run after installing and testing. I ran the battery down with all the lock and unlock cycles needed while I adjusted the linkages to work properly. Only slight niggle is that the buttons on the remotes are too proud and get pressed far too easily, if like me you keep your keys in your pocket. Such a shame as the remotes are really nice quality units. I solved this by buying a universal learning remote and use that instead. I wasn't 100% confident that the supplied crimps would stay connected so replaced with my own crimps. I Definitely recommend this kit.UpdateWell it's a year and a half later and it stopped working so for simplicity I decided to buy another identical unit. Plugged the new control module into the existing installation and everything is working again. Happy days-1* for failing after 1.5 years. Though arguably a bit harsh considering the cost!+1* for the new design remotes which have flush buttons meaning it can be kept in your pocket without accidentilly pressing buttons. BIG improvement. +1* for still being compatible with an older unit making replacement a breezeConsidering my first review started at 4* you can see I like this a lot and would not hesitate to recommend it.I now have a spare loom, fitting kit and bunch of solenoids. Lets hope it's something else that goes wrong in a few years time. Enjoy and buy with confidence!

Bought this kit because I was tired of unlocking my car doors one at a time like some filthy peasant.It showed up within 4 days, came well packaged, and with clear instructions.I was able to fit the mechanisms and wiring myself within 2hrs. (Although it has the option to wire in the indicators I didn’t do that, because they’re damn near impossible to get too in my car).I would absolutely recommend this kit to anyone who wants easily fitted remote locking.
