I first bought these type of utensils from either QVC or HSN. Liked the built-in stand that keeps the spoon off the counter. I usually keep mine setting over the sink, so all drips are contained. They are made well, solid with just a little give to them so stirring is not a problem and serving doesn't bend them down. Some of the handles come off, the handle has a slot where the spoon/spatula goes in. When I get a new one I pull hard to see if it is seated good. If not, a few drops of super glue do the trick. I was glad to find them on Amazon and have beefed up my collection.

I prefer function over fashion however,This slotted and elevated spoon serves a great function by keeping my paper towel costs down.It also has a sharp enough edge to get rice or taters off the inside the pot.I like this thing

This is about the 6th elevated utensil that I have purchased from Joseph Joseph. With each new one I am more impressed. I really like the elevated utensils. It helps keep the counter and stove clean. Additionally these are very sturdy utensils. They are not like others that I have purchased that after a few uses and washes the plastic starts to peel off and you end up with plastic in your food. I will certainly be purchasing more of these in the future.

I have searched high and low for a spoon to lift poached eggs out of the boiling water. This is the one! I can cook four eggs in a wok and handle the eggs without breaking the yolks.
