More compact than my previous DeWalt heat gun hence slightly easier to handle but the best point is the improved control of heat with a digital temperature reading. This produces an accurate figure of what was used for different tasks and therefore can be recalled for future tasks. They should have provided more nozzle deflector attachments, though.Overall, an excellent tool.

This is the ducks guts of heat guns.I love being able to dial up an exact temperature rather than guessing.I use it to accelerate paint drying times. Too hot and you ruin / burn the paint.This way, i dont have to do trial and error. No risk of burnging.This has a memory, will remember the last tremp u set.I also love the ability to sit it vertically on a bench if you want ot heat a tube or apply heatshrink.Compared to cheaper units, you can feel the quiality, it is quieter, and runs smoother.Note that this particular unit came with a UK plug, so if ordering overseas, be prepared to reterminate that. Also it didnt come in a plastic case, like some do, just a cardboard box. I'd knock a star off for that, but its just too good not to give 5 stars..

Had to remove old paint from a stair treads and skirting prior to woodworm treatment. A hard, tedious job but it was much more do-able with this powerful heat gun.More expensive than some (and I hope to never use it again 🥵) but worth every penny.

Had this a while now and have really put it through its paces. Happy to report that it's held up really well and performs as expected.Heats up fast, it's reasonably quiet in use and comfortable in the hand.Having gone through a fair few cheap heat guns over the years I'd say it was well worth splashing out the extra cash for a decent bit of kit.

Typical dewalt quality. Bought it to remove an old deal roof on the mini and it’s done the job well in a hour I’d removed the offending decal and most of the glue using this and a plastic razor set so no damage . Would recommend . I expect this to last a long time as with other dewalt items I have in my tool collection .
